OMG! I can't believe I just made homemade Jam and it was easy and amazingly delicious !!!! I looked at a lot of recipes online but the one I likes was from Kitchen Apparel. This recipe has only four ingredients which is music to my ears. I can't believe how easy this recipe was. I will surely make this Jam again and again.
1 lb of fresh or frozen Berry Medley from Trade Joe's ( other store)
1 cup of Raw cane sugar (option) you can use any sweetener you like.
Juice of one lemon
I'm not a big fan of big pieces of fruits in my Jam ,I like my Jam to have a smooth texture (not into mushy cooked fruits). what I did was pureed the fruits on a blend to get a smooth spread. If you desire chunks of fruits in your Jam just skip this step.
placed my fruit puree into a nonstick pan and added sugar and lemon juice from one lemon. This recipe calls for honey but I'm not a big fan of honey ( the taste and the smell is not my favorite) so I added more sugar instead to make it a whole cup of sugar instead of half a cup. and if you are not a big fan of so much sugar you can cut the sugar in half.
I cooked the puree on medium heat to the recommended consistency . For more tips on cooking time and making homemade Jam visit the good soup.
I placed my final product into a mason jar. The 1 pound of mix fruits it made 1 pint of Jam; I didn't have to find another jar.
I ran out of bread but I couldn't wait to taste this jam so i found myself a spoon and let me tell you this jam was simple but very delicious!! I was jumping for joy. for my first time jam making this was a success.
What is your favorite jam and have you ever tried to make homemade jam before?
