I have a lot of classic movies that I love but I have a couple of movies that I can always count on to put me in a good mood. Don't ask me how many times have I watch them? To many times to count. I mostly watch my classic movies on Netflix and Tuner classic movie channel (TCM). I would recommend you visit TCM website for show time for all the movies I have listed below. Enjoy!!
Seven Brides for Seven Brothers ( 1954)
Seven brides for Seven brother made me a classic movie lover. It was my first classic movie I watch and I remember how much I enjoyed it ( it opened my eyes to a different genre of movies that I didn't know was there). The story has everything, my love for 50's fashion, dancing, music and romance. I remember I wanted to get my hands on every classic romance movie I could get my hands on.
The Women (1939)
"The women" is a movie about several women dealing with different issues in their lives: catty friends, cheating husbands, gossip, fashion( amazing!) . jealous, marriage and divorce .
P.S. : This movie is in black and white( still give it a try). Please don't watch the remake of "The Women" ( 2008) it sucked!
My favorite quote from the movie: "I've had two years to grow claws mother. Jungle red!" ~Mary Haines
Auntie Mame (1958)
"Auntie Mame" she is everything I want to be and I want in an Aunt. Watch it you will love her. The costumes and the stage designs were amazing!! It will make you wish for your own Auntie Mame.
Thoroughly Modern Millie (1967)
Get ready to dance, laugh, and sing-along with this movie.
Gigi (1958)
The name "Gigi" says, it all. An innocent girl who lives in Paris with her grandmama. she comes from a long line of courtesans but all she wants and dream about is love. It has great music, fashion, diamonds, Champagne and some much more.
I hope you enjoy some of my favorite classic movies; I would love to hear from you all about your favorite classic movies. Please feel free to leave me a comment and your recommendations.
Happy watching !
