I'm not a big fan of exercising but as time goes by, I found including some form of exercise into my daily life improves my mood. I tend to be a much happier person with myself and other people. I only chose exercises that I like doing so I wouldn't be bored in the end. Exercises like : walking, Dancing, insanity, boxing and cleaning( yes cleaning can be an exercise if done for a longer period of time) seem to work for me. I would suggest searching on YouTube for some free exercise video ideas ( I like boxing, and 30 day shred). Just getting some sun and fresh air is all you need sometimes.
Fresh flower
Fresh flowers always put me in a good mood. Flowers are a splurge but I think it's worth it once in awhile. I heard waking up to beautiful flowers can change your whole day and I agree.
Dance/Music
Sometime I just get the dancing bug at 3 AM in the morning when i can't sleep, and I do answer the call but put some of my favorite music on and I just dance. It helps in quieting my mind and distressing. You don't have to be in at a club to dance, just put your favorite music around your home and just dance ladies and gentlemen.
friends/Family
With everyone so busy with their lives most of us don't have time to talk to each other anymore. I find just picking up my phone and calling my family or friends improves my day. I know everyone is busy but just take 5 to 10 minutes out of your day to just checkup on your love ones will improve your day.
Eat
The weeks that I eat well my mood is great, but the days I eat poorly I find my days or weeks to drag on. So it was easy for me to chose healthiest foods to improve my well being. I will challenge you to start a health diet for a week and if you don't see any difference in your mood to email me. I don't always get it right but thanks to smart phones and apps which helps keep me in check. The app that I find helpful is nudge (free app) helps keeping track of my water, Daily exercises, vegetables and fruits intake and so much more.
Gratitude
I'm always very hard on myself but I found taking time to stop and counting my blesses always help me stay grounded and coming down. sometime things are not as bad as I think there are. Some days I can come up with 5 things that I'm grateful for and some days I just find one and that is okay with me.
