Coffee Filter Wreath
I decided to get into the holiday spirit this year. Since moving away from home to go to University, I have not touched or decorated my place( ...that is about 6 years people). I thought if I made a wreath for my door it will get me inspired to decorate my whole place.I was going to go buy a already made wreath from the store but I saw the prices and I changed my mind. I searched online and on Pinterest for D.I.Y wreath and the ones I like were the coffee filter wreath and also looked easy enough for me to try. Two of my favorite coffee filter wreath were fromFrugality gal and House of Hepworths they had really good tutorials and step by step instructions. Here is a quick view of how mine turned out. Next time it will be better. This quick D.I.Y cost me a total of 4 dollars.
Supplies: I went to the dollar tree for all my supplies.
- Coffee Filters
- Ribbon ( Desire color and design)
- Green round foam
- Glue gun and Glue sticks (I already had one in hand. You can get one for 4 dollar plus the glue stick at Walmart )
- flower or an ornament ( option)
- spray paint ( your desired color and also Option)
The first I did was Twist the coffee filters to the desired shape. I was doing this while watch my favorite TV show. Do this step made the glue process go Faster. This was a little time consuming but not to bad. If you have kids or friends put them to work in helping you fold or twist the coffee filters. After all the twisting and folding it's time to start gluing away. It took me a total of an hour and Half from start to finish.
